Kicking straight into gear for the new year, Non Stop BhangraJimmy Love will be joined on the decks by the one and only DJ Concerned (New York). The ever so beautiful Dholrhythms Dance Troupe returns from it's winter hiatus ready to make this year the biggest for Bhangra in the Bay Area! The full NSB crew will be in the house to get your hands in the air, shoulders shrugging and hips grinding - helping you start off your 2010 with some much needed good energy! will be teaching the Bhangra dance lesson, which we are sure will help with the extra cheer you put on over the holidays. Live painting and visuals will set your new year to a vibrant backdrop, while live drummers and MC's will lead us to the funky Bhangra land of tomorrow! Thanks SF for a wonderful 2009! Dholrhythms steps out on a bold new venture, showcasing your favorite Bay Area Dance Troupe as a featured performance company. Beyond a normal performance, Dholrhythms is digging deep to illustrate the wonders of Punjab through the use of narration, singing, and most of all dance. Presented by the Kanbar Center For Performing Arts at the Osher Marin Jewish Community Center, this showcase is part of the 20th Anniversary season. The event is open to all ages, and is set in an environment created to teach and share the beautiful folk dances of Punjab.
